Social Services for Immigrants

Integration means that a person who has moved from another country to Finland adapts to a new life here. Integration is important as it helps people to feel well in the new country. The Social Services support immigrants in the integration process.
Important! Remember that the wellbeing services county always estimates separately whether you can receive a service or support. Each situation is different and there are exact rules for providing different services.
Please contact a Social Worker or a Social Counsellor if you are an immigrant and
- you need help
- it is difficult to receive help
- you have financial problems
- you have a medical condition
- you have problems with alcohol or drugs, or you have another addiction
- you are worried about meeting violence, you face violence or the threat of violence
- somebody has taken advantage of you
- economically
- sexually or
- in working life.
Together we assess what we can do to support you. If necessary, we can book an appointment for a meeting. We work together with other authorities.The Immigrant Integration Social Services provide social services that promote immigrant integration in the initial stage.
