Specialised Health Care refers to the care you receive from specialised professionals, like specialist doctors. Specialised Health Care is everything except primary health care. The wellbeing services county is responsible for primary health care in East Uusimaa. HUS is responsible for Specialised Health Care.
Specialised Health Care is, for example
- treatment in the hospital ward
- surgeries
- psychiatric treatment
- laboratory testing
- x-ray and other types of imaging.
HUS is responsible for emergency services in the evenings, during weekends, and holidays. Porvoo Hospital is also a HUS unit.
