Preliminary health examination for a conscript
Tämän sivun sisältö
Every conscript must have a health examination according to law. The health examination needs to be done before the autumn call-ups.
The conscription event is organized by the Defence Forces, where you receive information about military service. All individuals subject to conscription are invited to attend.
You are a conscript if you are a man, a citizen of Finland, and one of the following applies to you:
- You are a Finnish citizen
- You are a man
- You will turn 18 this year.
You are also subject to conscription if
- You are less than 30 years of age, and you did not take part in the previous call up.
- You are obliged to take part in the call up if a decision has not been made about your fitness for service.
- You have been ordered to this year’s call up for a renewed health examination.
You need to make sure you attend the health examination yourself before the conscription event. Conscription is usually organized later in the year, from August to December. It is therefore advisable to have the examination before August.
