Home Service for Families with Children

Home service can be, for example:

• taking care of children
• help in taking care of your home
• preparing food
• support and advice on how to be a parent
• help for your family if you are under pressure

A situation like this can be, for example, if

• a family member has fallen sick
• a family member is left disabled
• a baby is born
• you have short term tiredness or exhaustion.

We offer temporary home service. We estimate on a regular basis if you need the service. If possible, we do chores together with the children in the family.

When do we not grant home service for families with children?

We cannot grant home service for

• cleaning only
• driving
• taking care of pets
• personal assistance
• taking care of sick family members
• daycare.

Service voucher

We can also grant a service voucher to families with children. It means that you can buy, for example, help with cleaning or other services, and the wellbeing services county will pay a part of the service. The service voucher is worth 28 euros per hour. This means that you will pay the part that is more than 28 euros.
