Linity Care Model for survivor of suicide attempt

The Linity Care Model is used to provide help and support to people who have attempted suicide. The purpose of the four meetings that are included in the care model is to thoroughly discuss the suicide attempt and to prevent a new attempt.

Linity is a shortened form of the Finnish words “lyhytinterventio itsemurhaa yrittäneelle” (short intervention for survivor of suicide attempt). The purpose of the model is to thoroughly discuss the suicide attempt and to prevent new suicide attempts.

Linity is based on researched data on factors that increase the risk of suicide. We use therapeutic means to prevent suicide.

The method does not replace or prevent other psychosocial support or treatment.
