The patient will always be admitted to the ward that best suits their situation. Therefore, the patient may be treated in a ward located in another municipality. However, we try to find a ward as close as possible to the patient’s home.

On this ward, we treat palliative patients in particular. A palliative patient is seriously ill, and the disease can no longer be cured. We only treat the patient’s symptoms and make him or her feel as comfortable as possible.

Patients from the home hospital may also come to the ward.

The patient will be treated in their own ward until the end, even if the condition of the disease becomes palliative. In other words, we do not transfer the patient to the palliative ward, even if the patient’s condition worsens and becomes palliative.
