In X-rays examinations, we study, for example, bones, lungs, and teeth. We do the examinations by medical imaging. Medical imaging means taking and studying different images. We mostly make images with X-rays or ultrasound.

Skeletal and chest X-rays
You need a referral from a doctor for all medical imaging examinations. Once you receive a referral for skeletal or chest X-ray examinations, you are free to choose the unit where you go for the examinations from any of these imaging units:
- Loviisa X-ray unit
- Porvoo Hospital X-ray unit
- Porvoo health clinic X-ray unit
- Sipoo X-ray unit
If you have received a referral for bone densitometry, scoliosis imaging, or for lower limb mechanical axis measurement, book an appointment in advance by calling HUS X-ray customer service.
Dental X-rays
You need a referral from a dentist for all medical imaging examinations. Once you receive a referral for dental X-ray examinations, you are free to choose the unit where you go for the examinations from any of these imaging units:
- Loviisa X-ray unit
- Porvoo health clinic X-ray unit
- Sipoo X-ray unit
