Tick vaccine

TBE vaccine prevents tick-borne encephalitis.

TBE vaccine (tick-borne encephalitis vaccine) is given to people who live in the Sipoo islands (postal code 01120). We vaccinate children over 3 years of age.

Children under the age of 7 receive their vaccines at the child health clinic. We give the vaccine to children over 7 years of age at Nikkilä and Söderkulla health stations. You can book a vaccination appointment by contacting the appointment number of your own health centre. 

Those receiving the TBE vaccine at their own expense can obtain the vaccine from a pharmacy and book an appointment for the vaccination at their own health station.
